Day 01: Arrival and transfer
On arrival at Kigali International airport, our safari guide will who will transfer you to Hotel Mille Collins for an overnight stay on Bed and Breakfast basis. Depending on your arrival time, you may also have a city tour in Kigali where you may visit the local craft markets, and genocide memorial museum one of the popular attraction in the city Centre.
Day 02: Transfer to Nyungwe Forest
After breakfast, head to Nyungwe National Park, en route visit Nyanza palace. Nyungwe forest is located in the southern corner of Rwanda and has got a vast vargin tropical rain forest with a high, dense canopy that harbors about 310 different bird species, hundreds of butterflies and orchids, and over 75 different species of mammals – including 13 primates (about a quarter of all Africa’s primates) as the chimpanzees. Dinner and overnight at Nyungwe top hill lodge (FB).
Day 03: Angola Monkey tracking
After breakfast you will report to the park headquarters where your guide will accomplish the necessary formalities for you of allocating you Angola monkey family to track. You will meet your ranger guide(s) for a briefing about Angola monkey tracking formality and how everything will be conducted from the start to the finish point; also you will be briefed on how you are to conduct yourself in the forest before and after encountering the Angola monkeys. Overnight at Nyungwe top hill lodge. (Full Board).
Day 04: Forest walk at Nyungwe forest
After breakfast, go for canopy walk. Forest walks give you an opportunity to explore the interior and fascinating habitats of the Nyungwe forest. Walking in Nyungwe is a fantastic experience with trails lasting from one to eight hours. This is a beautiful trail and one of the shortest hikes yet includes East Africa’s highest canopy walk with spectacular views across Nyungwe Forest, while the 6 hour Bigugu Trail leads you to the highest mountain in the Park at 2950m. Dinner and overnight at Nyungwe top hill lodge (Full Board).
Day 05: Nyungwe Forest to Volcanoes National Park
After breakfast, proceed to Volcanoes National Park for Gorilla tracking. This park lies in North western Rwanda bordering Virunga National Park and is a home to the rare mountain Gorillas. This park will give you the ultimate Gorilla tracking experience as you get closer these giant apes after the thrilling trek in the jungle in search of the Gorilla family allocated to the group. Overnight Mountain Gorilla view lodge (Full Board).
Day 06: Mountain Gorilla tracking
After breakfast you will report to the park headquarters where your guide will accomplish the necessary formalities for you of allocating you a gorilla family to track. Start your Gorilla tracking experience with the help of the guide allocated to you, this experience will get you closer to these giant yet gentle apes, a life time experience that you will live to remember; Dinner and overnight at Mountain Gorilla view lodge (Full Board).
Day 07: Transfer to Akagera National Park
After breakfast, you will be transfered to Akagera National Park for full day gave viewing. You will stopover for lunch at Chez Robert in Kigali, then head to Ruzizi for a boat ride after along Lake Ihema after lunch. During the boat cruise, you may encounter different animal species as well as a variety of bird species. Overnight at Akagera Game Lodge(Full board basis).
Day 08: Game Viewing at Akagera National Park
After breakfast, you will set out for a full day game viewing safari within the Park with your packed lunch. Explore the park in search for the big game found only in this park in Rwanda for instance; Giraffes, Elephants, Lions, and Buffaloes and so on. Return in the evening to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay at Akagera Game Lodge (Full board basis).
Day 09: Akagera National Park to Kigali
After breakfast, we will have a game drive through the park and later return Akagera game lodge for your lunch, thereafter precede to Kigali. Arrival in time for a city tour, visit the genocide memorial sites thereafter precede for dinner and an overnight stay at Hotel Chezlando
Day 10: Kigali City tour and transfer
After your breakfast, you will be transferred to Kigali for a city tour where you will visit a memorial genocide museum at Gisozi, you will also visit the local craft markets and in the evening, you will have a farewell dinner at Kigali Serena hotel before being transferred to the airport for your international flight.
