This safari will take you to two countries, Rwanda and Uganda which both inhabit the endangered Mountain Gorillas. As you traversing through Uganda, you will see the Equator at Kayabwe where you can take memorable photos, purchase a souvenir and take a cup of warm African coffee.
You will have a chance to trek two Gorilla families in different national parks, Bwindi and Volcanoes national parks. You will also view the stunning twin lakes – Burera and Ruhondo, visit Dian Fossey graveyard, you may also visit the Rwanda genocide memorial center in the heart of Kigali city. The tour will start in Entebbe/Kampala and end in Kigali.
Day 1: Pick up from Entebbe airport/Hotel in Kampala and transfer to Bwindi National Park
You will be picked from Entebbe Airport/Hotel in Kampala by experienced driver guide who will give you a short briefing about the tour that will take in to amazing countries that’s Uganda and Rwanda. You will immediately set off a 7hours journey to Bwindi National Park, the home the remaining endangered mountain Gorillas. You will have two stopovers, one at the equator in Kayabwe for photography and may be craft shopping.
You will have the second stopover in Mbarara town for an en-route lunch and later proceed to the Kigezi highlands. Upon reaching, you will check-in the lodge for dine and night stay.

Day 2: 1st Gorilla trek in Bwindi impenetrable national park.
Wake up early for your breakfast and head to the park headquarters for a short briefing about the dos and don’ts plus dressing code while trekking the great giants. You will be escorted by the park ranger guide and penetrate the impenetrable in search for the remaining mountain Gorillas. It may take between 2-6hours depending on the movements of these creatures.
You will have an hour to spend interacting with the gorillas which will seem to be few minutes as your taking pictures. In the afternoon after your lunch you will head for a cultural community visit in the Batwa community. Here you will experience the life of indigenous people as they perform cultural dances. You shall return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Transfer from Bwindi to Rwanda and visit the twin lakes in Rwanda.
After a delicious breakfast, you will you will check out of your room and head to Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda for another experience. You will have lunch after checking in the lodge and undertake an evening tour to the base of Mount Muhabura and Mount Sabyinyo where you will view the two twin lakes, Butare and Ruhondo. You will descend back to the lodge for an overnight and dinner and prepare for the next adventure day.

Day 4: 2nd Gorilla trekking in Volcanoes national park.
You will head to the park headquarters in Volcanoes national park after a delicious breakfast at the lodge. Here the park ranger will also take you through a short briefing and a history of gorilla in Rwanda. You will trek the forest to look for these beautiful creatures, you will later return to the lodge for your lunch.
Afternoon, trek to Dian Fossey’s graveyard where you will be told the love she had on the Gorillas which made her conserve most of the Gorillas that were being hunted by the locals.
You will descend back to your accommodation facility for overnight stay and dinner.

Day 5: Transfer to Kigali airport.
Have a relaxed breakfast, and later Check out of the lodge as you head to Kigali Airport. If time allows, you will visit the Rwanda genocide memorial center. And this will mark the end of the tour in both Uganda and Rwanda.
