During this safari in Uganda, you will have a chance to take part in two most exciting activities in two different places; gorilla trekking in Bwindi national park and game drive in queen Elizabeth national park and also a boat cruise at the 45km long Kazinga channel which connects lake George and Edward and known to the Hippo capital of the world.
Day 1: Pick up from Kampala to Bwindi national park. Equator experience at Kayabwe.
Start your safari from Kampala with the morning pick up by our experienced tour guide after your breakfast. Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable national park with an amazing journey that lasts for 9-10 hours. The park is located in the south western Uganda and it is known for harboring the most remaining population of mountain gorillas.
Have a stop at Kayabwe (the Uganda equator) and take photography and again stop in Mbarara for lunch, proceed your voyage into the rolling hills of Kigezi which are covered in terraces and late evening you will check in your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Morning gorilla trekking and afternoon Batwa community visit.
After your morning breakfast, the park ranger will brief you about gorilla trekking rules and what you need to carry. You will be provided with walking sticks and distributed into different groups of eight and set off for this great experience. This activity takes 2 hours including 1 hour of interaction with the allocated gorilla family.
Other than gorillas, the trek is rewarded with sights of other forest dwellers including different bird species, rainforest trees, monkeys, elephants among others. In the afternoon after lunch you will encounter the Batwa community, enjoy the way they live through traditional dances, fruit gathering and their farming methods. In the evening you will go back to the lodge for your dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Transfer to Kyambura gorge for afternoon chimpanzee trekking.
Enjoy the beautiful scenery with sights and sounds of nature while having your breakfast and later set off to Kyambura gorge in Queen Elizabeth national park in a journey of 3-4hours. The drive will give you a chance to view the Kigezi highlands and the Albertine rift valley region, rewarding you with sights of different bird species, topis, Uganda kobs, and many others.
You will have lunch at the lodge in Queen Elizabeth National park and transfer to the briefing point for pre-chimp trek briefing session. The park ranger will brief you about chimpanzee tracking before getting involved in the activity. The experience takes between 1-4 hours depending on the movement of chimps and have a 1 hour of encounter with a troop until you return to the starting point and drive to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and a wonderful campfire under the African stars.

Day 4: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise in Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Have an early morning breakfast at the lodge and park ranger guide will brief you about game drive rules. You will set off for a game drive around the park which begins at 6:30am. On this safari, you spot a number of wildlife such as the elusive lions, Topis, African elephants, waterbucks, different bird species, among others.
Return to the lodge for your delicious lunch and later enjoy the afternoon boat cruise on Kazinga channel which Is 45km long connecting Lake Edward to Lake George. Spot a number of aquatic animals such as a school of hippos, crocodiles, different bird species, elephants and buffalos at its banks and much more. This will take 3 hours and later you return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Transfer to Entebbe airport for departure.
Have your morning breakfast with a beautiful scenery and after set off to Kampala on a 5-6-hour drive via fort portal town. You will view Rwenzori mountain ranges with glaciers, the tea plantations, Mubende rocks, among others and stop in Mubende for your en route lunch. Later you proceed to Entebbe airport to catch your departure flight. This marks the end of your 5 days’ safari.
