This 5 days’ safari will give you a chance to participate in many exciting activities in two different destinations; Rhino trekking in Ziwa Rhino sanctuary, game drive and boat cruise in Murchison falls national park, chimpanzee tracking in Kibale national park and nature walks.
Day 1: Entebbe airport to Murchison Falls National Park with en-route stop over at Ziwa Rhino sanctuary.
Pick up from Entebbe international airport by our driver guide who will brief you about the safari for 5 days in Murchison falls and Kibale Forest national parks. After briefing, set off for a journey that takes 5-6 hours’ drive. En route you will have a stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for rhino trekking and also lunch. While at Ziwa sanctuary, you will be able to see the white rhinos in the wild that happen to be the only ones left in Uganda as others were poached more than 2 decades ago.
Continue to Murchison falls national park via Masindi and Kachumbonyobo gate and check in at the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Game drive and afternoon boat cruise
On this second day, wake up early in the morning and have your well-deserved breakfast and at around 6:30am set out for the sunrise game drive across Murchison falls national park’s rolling savannah. During this game drive you will be able to spot different animal species such as buffaloes, elephants, leopards, lions and many more. Watch out also for resident bird species such as fly catchers, African jacana and the rare Shoe bill stork among others. At around 11am you will be transferred to the lodge, relax and have lunch.
In the afternoon you will set off for a boat cruise and while there, spot various Nile crocodiles, hippos, buffaloes, and elephants along the river banks in their quest to quench their thirst. Different bird species such as bee-eater, shoe billed stork, the colored kingfishers and much more also call this park home.
The boat takes you to a point where the hike to top of the water falls commences. A hike to the top of the falls rewards you with exciting and closer views of the Murchison falls and Uhuru falls. View the devil’s cauldron, permanent rainbow and a cool spray of water and in evening drive back to your lodge for dinner and stay for an overnight.

Day 3: Transfer to Kibale National Park and lunch stop in Hoima town.
You will have an early breakfast and then be transferred from Murchison falls national park to Kibale national park – Uganda’s primate capital usually a 7-8 hours’ drive. Before heading to Kibale national park you will have a stopover in Hoima town for lunch.
Continue to Fort portal and with time allowing you can have an excursion to Amabere Ga’nyinamwiru caves for a sneak peek into the beautiful caves and listen to fascinating different versions of how this phenomenon was formed. Finally, you will head to Kibale national park where you check in at the lodge and rest from the day’s activities.

Day 4: Chimpanzee tracking. Community visits in the evening.
Have an early breakfast and head to park headquarters for a briefing about chimpanzee trekking. After the briefing head out into the forest for chimp tracking an activity that lasts for 2-3 hours. Get a chance to view how these apes that share over 98.5% of our DNA. While tracking be ready to meet other primates like the black and white colobus monkeys, baboons, forest elephants and many others.
After this experience you will have lunch and rest for an hour before you set into the community for the great experience. Here you will have different activities like meeting traditional healers, local brewing points and tasting of the banana juice. You will not miss the chance of viewing unique bird species like the great blue turaco, red chested cuckoo, double toothed barbet, crowned hornbill among others.

Day 5: Transfer back to Entebbe airport.
While having a beautiful view of the forest with its enchanting bird songs accompanied with your breakfast, you will later set off for Entebbe airport. Lunch stop will be in Mubende town. Finally continue with your journey to Kampala city and you may visit some of the craft markets and buy yourself a souvenir for a great memory of Uganda.
Later you will be transferred to catch your flight at the airport and that will mark the end of your trip in Uganda.
