This tour will involves visiting Akagera national park which lies along the Rwanda – Tanzania border to the east and named after Akagera River flowing through it and feeding into a number of lakes with Ihema being the largest. You will be involved in a number of activities such as game drives, birding and boat cruise. The tour will begin and end at Kigali international airport.

Day 1: Pick up from Kigali airport to Akagera national park.
Our guide will be at the airport and welcome you to the land of a thousand miles and transfer you to accommodation facility of your choice in Akagera national park. You will have your dinner and overnight stay as you prepare for the next tiresome day in the park

Day 2: Game drive and boat cruise
Begin your day with hot delicious breakfast at the hotel, later transfer to the park for a half day game drive in search for the wild game in the savannahs of Rwanda. Expect to see giraffes, elephants, roan antelopes and much more. In the afternoon after your lunch, head for a boat cruise on Lake Ihema where you will see animals like hippos, crocodiles, birds like Elusive shoebill stork and much more in the evening return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Birding and transfer back to Kigali international airport.
Have your breakfast in the morning and head to another astonishing experience of birdlife. You should know that the park is a home of over 500 species of bird therefore, expect to see birds such as the crested barbet, Ross’ Turaco, black-headed Gonolek and much more.
Later have lunch at the hotel, check out and transfer to Kigali international airport to catch up your next flight and that will make the end of the tour.
