Our 1 Day Mabamba wetland birding starts with an early pick up from your hotel and leave for the swamp at 7am after breakfast driving about 55km west of Kampala city. This tour will enable you look out for shoebill Stork both in the sky and down on the marsh, White-faced Whistling-duck, the Swamp Flycatcher, African Water Rail, African purple Swamp hen, Common Moorhen, Lesser Jacana, Blue-breasted Bee-eater, African Pygmy Goose, Squacco Heron, Winding Cisticola, Goliath Heron and Black Crake.

This Mabamba wetland birding excursion is accompanied with a nature/cultural visit to the Nansubuga hill. This short hill happens to be a Buganda kingdom cultural site belonging to one of the ancient clans. Nansubuga hill consists of tombs believed to be over 600 years old, rock board games and a scared forest.
