Day 2: The Nairobi Cosmopolitan Experience

After breakfast is served, the day is dedicated to a Nairobi City Tour. The city’s name is derived from the Maasai phrase “Enkare Nyrobi,” which translates to the “place of cool water.”

  • Morning: Exploration begins at the Nairobi National Museum and the Snake Park. Subsequently, a stop is made at the Nairobi Viewpoint for breathtaking panoramic photography of the skyline and Uhuru Park.

  • Afternoon: A visit is conducted to the Karen Blixen Museum, famous for the “Out of Africa” legacy. This is followed by an excursion to the Giraffe Centre, where the endangered Rothschild Giraffes are protected. An opportunity for feeding these magnificent creatures is often granted, time permitting.

  • Accommodation: Eka Hotel (or similar)

  • Meal Plan: Full Board

Day 3 & 4: The Legendary Masai Mara National Reserve

The journey continues toward the world-famous Masai Mara National Reserve. Over the next two days, game viewing is prioritized during the early morning and late evening hours when wildlife activity is at its peak.

  • The Landscape: The Mara spans 1,510 $km^2$ of fertile riverine woodlands and open savannahs.

  • The Wildlife: Frequent sightings of Masai giraffes, baboons, hyenas, and the “Big Five” are expected. While cheetahs and leopards are more elusive, they are regularly spotted by our expert trackers.

  • The Highlight: If visiting during July or August, the Great Wildebeest Migration may be witnessed. Furthermore, optional hot air balloon safaris are offered, concluded by a luxurious bush breakfast on the plains.

  • Accommodation: Mara Sopa Lodge (or similar)

Day 5 & 6: Serengeti National Park – Tanzania

An early departure is initiated toward the Isebania border. After border formalities are completed, the transition into Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park is made.

  • The Experience: As the largest conservation area on the planet ($14,763$ $km^2$), the Serengeti represents the quintessential image of wild Africa. Massive stone kopjes and endless grasslands support a staggering magnitude of life.

  • The Crater: Often referred to as “Africa’s Eden,” the Ngorongoro Crater is a world-class attraction. Large herds of zebra and wildebeest are found grazing within the rim, while the endangered Black Rhino is often sighted through the morning mist.

  • Cultural Harmony: Just outside the ridge, Maasai herdsmen are seen living alongside wildlife, maintaining a lifestyle that has endured for centuries.

  • Accommodation: Ngorongoro Safari Lodge (or similar)

  • Meal Plan: Full Board
